About Me
A lawyer turned ecological designer with a passion for empowering people to respond to climate change with hope and concrete action. My legal research background is on the intersection of environmental restoration, women’s and indigenous land rights, and access to natural resources as foundational pillars of equitable climate change solutions and human rights. From this experience, I gained a deep respect for the individuals coming together to make positive impacts for their lands, natural resources, families, and communities. This led to my transition toward direct action on my local landscapes.

Octarine Ethos
It’s up to us to decide on the future we want, and then work to make it reality. At the heart of my career pivot was a realization that the world doesn’t need another research paper. Instead, it needs people to learn from traditional practices and modern advances, build community and share resources, and care for the Earth and each other.
And what better place to start than in your own yard! Beautiful landscapes can represent personal sanctuary, enhance resilience, provide nourishment, and restore functioning ecosystems.
